Kamala Harris Is Still Trying to Hold a Second Debate

🏈 During Saturday’s game between the teams in the swing state of Georgia and the Republican state of Alabama, millions of American football fans saw an ad from Harris calling for another debate between the presidential candidates: “Winners never back down from a challenge. Champions know they can fight anytime, anywhere. And losers whine and wave their hands… Donald, if you have something to say, say it to my face.”

🪁 Trump, who was present at the game, was supposed to see a plane over the stadium with a banner paid for by the Harris campaign: “Trump is delaying the second debate.” But the plane did not take off due to bad weather.

Harris’s new strategy is to ridicule Trump’s fear of being on stage with her and undermine his image as a strong leader who is ready for any challenge and is capable of running the country.

Trump responds that Kamala wants to meet again because she lost the debate, and he, as the winner, doesn’t need that: “When an athlete loses a fight, the first thing he says is, ‘I want a rematch!'”

A photo of Trump (taken after the previous debate, when Trump left before Harris had collected her notes) is used in Harris’s ad and says a lot, but not about the feeling of victory.
