Part 14 – The $1 Million Man

Uncle Sam can also be referred to as the $1 Million Man as he pitched a contracted to the Maltese Police to provide them with consultancy at the same time during which he was engaged as an independent expert in Court, and being paid part of €11 million.

He confirmed what respected former Finance Ministry Permanent Secretary, Alfred Camilleri, had revealed.

He justified it by saying that it was Commissioner Angelo Gafa who asked him to put forward the proposal.

Sam Sittlington said he had not informed the Magistrate, as he was duty bound to do, as he was coordinating with Assistant Commissioner Alexandra Mamo, who was also involved in the inquiry.

Uncle Sam remember when he sent the proposal but could not remember how much he had asked for this job, if he actually had mentioned a price, he said.

It was suggested to him that his asking price was €936,000.

The proposal was turned down by the Finance Ministry and soon after the inquiry started targeting Mr. Camilleri.

These are the facts.

Questions will follow.
