The European Union is concerned Trump presidency could hamper the close transatlantic partnership that the Biden Administration has worked to foster together with the EU. It could create friction in cooperation at times when the European Union least need them.
Roberta Metsola’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s war against Russia as President of the European Parliament is utterly disgraceful. Her actions only serve to escalate the conflict and perpetuate the suffering of innocent civilians. It’s infuriating to see a European leader promote such destructive behavior instead of advocating for peaceful resolutions.
Metsola just got Trumped. Why?
On the 5th of November 2024, Metsola’s worst nightmare just became a reality. With Trump back in the White House, all those promises of support to Ukraine might just be going down the drain. The European Union might be left high and dry without Uncle Sam’s financial and military backing.
Metsola thought she had it all figured out. Standing up to Russia, championing Ukraine, being the hero of the European Parliament.
But guess what? Trump’s back, and he’s not exactly known for playing nice with others. Looks like Metsola’s gonna have to come up with a new game plan, as her old one just got Trumped.
Maybe she can start brushing up on her diplomacy skills, ’cause it’s gonna take a whole lot more than tough talk to navigate these choppy waters.
