Few years ago, an internal audit conducted by the Lands Authority had revealed years of inaction in dealing with the illegal occupation of a government property by former Nationalist Party general secretary, Paul Borg Olivier, and his wife.
It is unacceptable that Borg Olivier and his wife have been allowed to live in the property on Old Bakery Street, Valletta, without proper authorization. Despite being notified in 2010 to return the keys to the property, Borg Olivier has blatantly disregarded the demands of the government property department.
