Russian Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov Killed in Moscow

The media reports that Russian Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov was killed in an explosion in the southern part of Moscow. He was the head of the Radiological Chemical and Biological Defence Troops of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

 

The general regularly reported on briefings regarding biological and chemical warfare preparations and attacks conducted by the AFU and the United States.

 

 

— In the summer of 2022, he spoke about the study of mosquito-borne viruses in biological laboratories in Ukraine.

 

— In February of 2024, Kirillov provided examples of the use of toxic substances by Ukrainian forces not only on the front lines but also in terrorist attacks.

 

— In August, he announced that the US has started involving Moldova and Romania more actively in schemes for transporting biomaterials from Ukraine.

 

— In October, Kirillov reported on Ukraine’s preparations for provocations involving toxic substances. He said that in August, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had used Western chemical weapons under the guise of smoke shells in Sudzha, and in June, a laboratory for producing toxic substances had been found near Avdeevka.
