The Nationalist Party’s failed to file its statement of accounts for any full calendar year since Bernard Grech assumed leadership in October 2020.
In response to inquiries from Times of Malta, the PN shamelessly shifted the blame onto its auditor. Quite the circus act, wouldn’t you agree? Blaming the auditor for their own lack of responsibility is truly a masterpiece of deflection.
It begs the question – how can the Nationalist Party expect to be entrusted with governing the country when they cannot even fulfill their basic administrative obligations as a political party?
You really have to hand it to the Nationalist Party – they’re setting an impressively high bar for political irresponsibility. Maybe next time, they’ll consider filing their statement of accounts in the same meticulous fashion they employ in shifting blame. After all, who needs competence and trust when you have a perfectly good scapegoat in the auditor?
