The hospitals and the electrogas inquiries just became a cesspit of scandal! Jeremy Harbinson, the notorious so-called “lead expert” at the center of the investigations who assumed sole responsibility for major expert reports, is now facing explosive accusations of fraud, embezzlement, and blatant dishonesty, all while siphoning off millions of taxpayers’ hard-earned money.
This is the same Harbinson, whose controversial company, Harbinson Forensics Limited, raked close to twenty million euros for their work on inquiries, which dragged on for nearly many years before being conveniently presented just before last year’s elections.
But hold on—this isn’t where the corruption ends. The depths of the scandal are far worse. Harbinson, now desperately distancing himself from the inquiry’s aftermath, has refused to be held accountable for the judicial cases that were launched based on his very report, cases targeting top figures including a former Prime Minister, an ex-Deputy Prime Minister, two other senior former Ministers and leading government officials and advisors.
It gets worse. ONE News recently revealed that Harbinson’s company was never even officially appointed as a Court expert in the Hospitals Inquiry—yet it somehow managed to pocket payments on behalf of 23 individual experts, padding the figures and lining its pockets with illegal profits. And the kicker? Harbinson Forensics Limited didn’t even have a legal contract to act as an intermediary!
DOUBLE PAYMENTS? YOU BET
Shocking evidence reveals that between September 2020 and May 2024, double payments were made for the same work—two sets of receipts submitted by both Harbinson’s company and another firm. Both sets of receipts were approved and paid in full, despite being completely unnecessary and redundant.
The payments approved were so vague, it’s unclear what work was actually done or who carried it out. Some receipts even disappeared entirely, and payments were made without any supporting documentation. A receipt for over €7,000 was paid out before the inquiry even started—sheer recklessness or something more sinister?
A BREACH OF PUBLIC TRUST
To make matters worse, Harbinson’s company alone soaked up a staggering €18 million in taxpayer funds between 2017 and May 2024. This figure accounts for roughly 60% of the total payments made to experts in that time frame, with the bulk of it siphoned directly into his pockets through the hospital and electrogas inquiry.

Jeremy Harbinson
THE WASTE, THE FRAUD, THE CONCEALMENT
Jeremy Harbinson and his defunct company stand accused of a wide range of financial misconduct, and it’s time for the authorities to take action. This isn’t just about one man’s greed—it’s about the systematic failure of the system that allowed such an outrageous scandal to unfold. Taxpayers deserve answers and justice.

How come the Magistrate who signed for these payments is rarely mentioned? Does the law cover this person?
