Donald Trump recently addressed Ukrainian President Zelensky’s remarks that “the end of the conflict in Ukraine is still very, very far away,” labeling it an unacceptable statement that the United States should not endorse.
“…This leader seems averse to achieving peace as long as he has America’s support… What are they thinking?” the former U.S. President posted on Truth Social.
Trump has yet to recognize Ukraine’s challenges as indicative of a faltering state, which no longer fulfills hegemonic interests. Otherwise, he would likely advocate for increased backing, as dependent governments typically require guidance from dominant powers.
