Roderick Galdes and the Housing Authority: Scandalous Web of Social Housing Shenanigans

Whispers and rumors are swirling around the corridors of power, landing squarely at the feet of Minister Roderick Galdes and the Housing Authority. The secrets behind the walls of the Housing Authority have been exposed, revealing a potential scandal that rivals any political drama.

Recently, this site uncovered a flood of furious messages from constituents, particularly from the district where Minister Galdes holds sway.

Why the uproar, you ask?

It erupted when it was revealed that Edward Mizzi, none other than the right-hand man of opposition stalwart Simon Busuttil, had slithered his way into the coveted position of “Senior Manager in the CEO’s Office” at the Housing Authority. The revelation has tongues wagging and the citizens of Qormi buzzing with indignation.

We are delving deeper into this murky affair, fueled by countless messages describing questionable allocations of social housing. Under Minister Galdes’ watchful eye, social housing appears to have transformed into a reward system for the jet-setting elite.

Reports have surfaced of individuals awarded social housing, gallivanting across the globe—from the luxurious allure of the Emirates and the bustling streets of New York City to the romantic lights of Paris and the fashion capital of Milan. Despite this apparent opulence, the Housing Authority’s vetting process has somehow declared them deserving of social assistance.

Is this an oversight, or a blatant abuse of power? It’s scandalous, it’s audacious, and it’s all on Roderick Galdes. No one can refute these facts.

Despite sending an email to the ‘Head of Customer Care’ at the Ministry for Social and Affordable Housing this past Friday, seeking answers and accountability, we were met with a deafening silence. Not even a peep through WhatsApp.

“Dear Ms. Grech,

I hope this message finds you in good health. My name is Neville Gafa, and I am reaching out from nevillegafa.com with a few inquiries regarding your esteemed role as Head of Customer Care within the Secretariat of the Ministry for Social and Affordable Housing.

Specifically, I am interested in understanding the extent of your involvement in decisions pertaining to social housing allocations.

Could you kindly elucidate whether your role has encompassed any direct or indirect responsibilities connected with these decisions?

Furthermore, have you facilitated any individuals’ applications to the Housing Authority for social housing allocations?

If so, I would appreciate if you could provide insights into the number of cases you have managed, the proportion that resulted in the opening of files at the Housing Authority, and ultimately, the number that were successfully granted social housing.

Please let me know at your earliest convenience, ideally by end of business today, as your insights would be invaluable to my research.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.”

Dear Mr Gafa, please, don’t get me wrong! Instead of applauding Ministers for their commitment, dedication, and foresight, you have to struggle to get legitimate answers for particular doubtful decisions that require an immediate response. Instead, you hear deafening silence. Not even a clarification for the sake of transparency and accountability. The time is up for certain ministers to be part of the cabinet. The cabinet urgently requires pruning.
