Vincent Bradley: A Blatant and Undeclared Conflict of Interest

If you thought Vincent Bradley’s participation in the Malta hospitals inquiry couldn’t get any worse, think again. Through our investigations we have uncovered detail that should’ve been enough to get him kicked out of the whole fiasco before it even started.

Bradley, the so-called “forensic expert” called in to “investigate” the hospital deal, has a secret that he did not want anyone to know: he used to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)—the same company that advised the investors on the very deal that is now under investigation. Earlier in the initial court sittings it was revealed that PwC worked with the Hospitals investors on their business model, business plan and submission to Government. That’s right —this alleged expert had deep ties to the company at the heart of the controversy.

To the surprise of industry insiders, while many professional advisors have been prosecuted in this case, PwC have not. The Experts did not even request that the Magistrate summons the Maltese firm’s representatives for questioning in the collation of evidence.

An Absolute Conflict of Interest Ignored

Let’s break this down for a second. Vincent Bradley—whose job was to provide an unbiased, thorough forensic analysis of the deal—was essentially tasked with investigating a project involving the firm he used to work for. How can anyone take this seriously? How could this man be expected to approach his investigation with any shred of impartiality? The truth is, he couldn’t. His connections to PwC tainted every ounce of his involvement, yet somehow, this glaring conflict of interest was swept under the rug by the very people responsible for ensuring fairness: the Inquiry itself.

Here’s the problem: a forensic expert is supposed to be the epitome of neutrality, free from any influence that could sway their judgment. But Bradley’s past role at PwC makes it impossible to believe that he didn’t have his biases. PwC were involved in the deal under scrutiny, yet Bradley was allowed to be the one to investigate their involvement. You’d think the inquiry’s officials, including the Inquiring Magistrate Gabriella Vella, would have caught this disastrous oversight, but nope. They didn’t. Not even a hint of scrutiny was placed on Bradley’s prior relationship with PwC, and his glaring conflict of interest was left unchecked.

The Inquiry’s Incompetence or Willful Blindness?

What does this tell us about the Inquiry? Either they were grossly incompetent in their vetting process, or they were fully aware of the conflict but chose to turn a blind eye. After all, it’s hard to believe that Magistrate Gabriella Vella didn’t notice this red flag—this isn’t some minor detail we’re talking about. We’re talking about the integrity of an entire investigation. How could they let someone with such clear ties to PwC take an important role in evaluating a deal PwC helped structure?

It’s almost as if no one cared whether or not Bradley’s investigation would be impartial. Why, you ask? Because as we’ve seen in his past actions, Bradley’s loyalty seems far more aligned with his former employer than with uncovering the truth. His “expert” role was never about exposing the truth—it was about keeping things hush-hush for the sake of his old connections.

Bradley’s Unforgivable Lack of Disclosure

To make matters worse, Bradley never bothered to declare this blatant conflict of interest to the Inquiry. The man simply carried on as if nothing was wrong, deceiving the public into thinking he was there for their benefit. But let’s be real—Bradley’s position was compromised from the start. His ability to scrutinize the deal impartially was an absolute joke. The real question is: why did the Inquiry let him get away with this? Where’s the accountability? Why is it that an individual so deeply embedded in the issue at hand was allowed to continue with this farce?

Let’s call it what it is: a disgrace. Vincent Bradley’s involvement in Malta’s inquiries is nothing but a mockery of justice, and the longer this scandal drags on, the more it’s clear.

And we’re just getting started on dear Vincent. More to come in the coming days.
