Arnold Cassola, reeking of hypocrisy and scandal, has audaciously launched a hysterical tirade against Prime Minister Robert Abela, defiantly proclaiming on Facebook, “Rest assured that I will be there to point out your sleaze every single time, until I have the strength to do so.”
But hold on, Mr. Cassola! You have conveniently ignored our burning questions:
Have you ever dipped your toes into the property market, buying and selling like any other developer?
If so, doesn’t that make you a developer, and by extension, a hypocrite?
If you stand by transparency, declare how much property you own and have bought or sold. Surely, such transparency shouldn’t trouble you, should it, Mr. Cassola?

Arnold Cassola
And speaking of responsibility, let’s not forget the fiasco from last year. In July, a teen narrowly escaped a grave accident when she plunged into a manhole outside an apartment block on Swieqi Road, Swieqi. The manhole, scandalously shrouded with a flimsy piece of wood for months, became a harrowing trap for the 15-year-old girl, saved only by her mother’s quick reflexes.
Here’s where Cassola’s scandalous irresponsibility shines through: owning an apartment in this very block, Cassola claimed he took “immediate action” with another owner to rectify this disaster waiting to happen. Immediate, you say? Too little, too late, you hypocrite!
Thanks to sheer luck, the girl was spared severe injury, managing to hold herself while waist-deep in the abyss.
Yet, the question remains: how long will Arnold Cassola’s façade of righteousness shield his hypocrisy from the public eye?
