His America First policy was not merely a slogan; it was a clear governing philosophy prioritising citizens’ needs above global experiments that often weaken national economies and social cohesion.
Many, including Peppi Azzopardi, confuse religious teachings with the fundamental duty of a leader – the duty to protect their nation and its people. The primary responsibility of any serious President, Prime Minister, or Government is to guarantee the safety, dignity, and prosperity of its citizens. While faith remains central to personal and social values, it should not override the duty to govern responsibly, decisively, and with moral clarity.
