The Fenech Adami Clan Wants Another PN Defeat – And Delia Is Their Guarantee

Georg Sapiano, Adrian Delia’s right hand in this campaign, has once again tried to diminish Alex Borg by twisting The Times editorial into a “not one word of praise” narrative. But Sapiano deliberately ignores the bigger picture: the PN Establishment and the Fenech Adami clan are clinging to Delia precisely because they know he cannot win.

Let’s be clear. The Times did not crown Adrian Delia as the saviour of the PN. They reminded their readers of what everyone already knows: Delia represents the darkest, most humiliating chapter in the party’s modern history. No flood of Establishment endorsements or recycled rhetoric can change that fact.

Sapiano’s strategy is obvious — tear down Borg with talk of “sound bites,” while rehabilitating Delia as though his catastrophic leadership had never happened. But this is exactly the Establishment’s game: keep backing Delia, let him lose another general election, and then finally dispose of him once and for all, neatly clearing the way for their own family-backed candidates. They would rather see the PN crushed again than let it break free from their grip.

Instead of parroting “not one word of praise,” PN members should ask themselves: Why is it that the same Establishment that buried the party in the past is now trying to bury its future too?

This leadership race is not about Delia’s “second chance” or Sapiano’s spin. It is about survival versus extinction. A vote for Adrian Delia is a vote for yet another guaranteed defeat. A vote for Alex Borg is a vote to give the PN hope and a future again.

PN supporters must see through the smokescreen. Sapiano’s commentary is not analysis — it is damage control for an Establishment desperate to hold on to power, even if it means sacrificing the entire party.
