A hypocrite who exploits the dead, betrays the living, and serves only extremists.
Adrian Delia has once again proven himself unfit for politics, a man who shows cruelty not only to the living but even to the memory of the dead. This site stands firmly against him because he has become nothing more than an instrument in the hands of extremists, spreading division and hatred wherever he goes.
His recent behaviour in the debate with Alex Borg exposed him for what he truly is: a vicious manipulator. Instead of debating policy, Delia vilely tried to weaponise the memory of a dying father. With complete hypocrisy, he claimed that Alex Borg’s late father had entrusted him with the promise of looking after his son. Such private words, said at the most vulnerable moment of a man’s life, should never have been dragged out on a political stage.
But even worse — Delia did not even keep that promise. If he had truly cared for Alex Borg, would his behaviour look like this?
– He hires spin doctors like Georg Sapiano and Mark Camilleri to write against Borg.
– He pressures Borg not to contest, and when Borg refuses, he launches weeks of relentless attempts to undermine him.
– He dedicates an entire debate not to ideas, but to trying to humiliate Borg.
What kind of “care” is that? It is the opposite — it is betrayal.
And if Delia cannot even respect his own family, how can he pretend to look after someone else’s children? Seven years have passed and he still hasn’t resolved his separation from his wife. That failure in his personal life reflects his failure in public life: promises made, none kept.
Throughout the entire debate, Alex Borg refrained from attacking Delia personally. Yet Delia, consumed with bitterness, attacked him again and again. It was disgraceful.
We honour Alex Borg’s late father with respect and dignity. But after Adrian Delia’s words, one cannot help but feel that he would be turning in his grave to see such hypocrisy.
Adrian Delia is a scoundrel. He does not respect the living or the dead. And that is why this site will continue to expose him.
