Adrian Delia has done it again.
The man who not long ago puffed his chest and called himself a “stormy sailor” has now chosen to sink his own ship. On Saturday, in a move that stunned even his closest allies, Delia slammed the door in the face of newly-elected PN Leader Alex Borg.
Sources inside the Nationalist Party told this site that Borg personally asked Delia to accept the post of Deputy Leader — a desperate attempt to hold the party together after years of bloodletting. But instead of showing loyalty, Delia spat on the offer and walked away.
This is not just rejection. This is sabotage. From the very first day of Borg’s leadership, Delia has made clear that he will not unite, he will not serve, and he will not put the party above his ego.
The PN is now leaderless in spirit, trapped between a rookie leader with no control and a bitter ex-leader who wants revenge. And while Alex Borg keeps quiet, Delia’s refusal screams louder than any press conference: he wants Alex Borg to fail, and he wants the Nationalist Party to burn.
The silence from Pietà is deafening. No denial, no clarification, no leadership. Just chaos.
Five leaders in twelve years, and now a sixth crisis in the making. If anyone still believed the PN could rebuild, Adrian Delia has just hammered the final nail in that coffin.
