Andy Ellul: A Strong Voice for Workers Alongside the Prime Minister

Yesterday, in an important preparatory meeting for the upcoming Budget, Parliamentary Secretary Andy Ellul, together with Prime Minister Robert Abela, met with the General Workers’ Union (GWU). The central focus of the discussion was clear: this Government’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the conditions of workers and improving the quality of life for Maltese and Gozitan families.

This meeting is a powerful reminder of the Labour Government’s social soul. While others talk, Prime Minister Robert Abela and Andy Ellul continue to deliver concrete results, ensuring that the voices of workers are not only heard but placed at the heart of the country’s economic and social vision.

The dialogue with the GWU reflects the Government’s approach of listening, engaging, and acting. It is through this partnership with the social partners that policies are crafted to guarantee better wages, stronger protections, and opportunities that allow families to thrive.

Andy Ellul has consistently proven himself as a bridge between Government and workers, bringing forward practical solutions and reinforcing the principle that Malta’s economic success must always translate into a better life for its people. Under Robert Abela’s leadership, this principle is not a slogan – it is a reality.

As the nation looks forward to the next Budget, one thing is certain: the Labour Government will continue to place workers and families first. This is the guarantee of stability, fairness, and progress that only Robert Abela and his team can deliver.

Andy Ellul experienced hard work before becoming a lawyer and a politician.

He kept his feet to the ground unlike those who in similar situations forgot about their background and snob the workers.
