Prime Minister Robert Abela, addressing the Chamber of Commerce at the Auberge de Castille, confirmed that Malta is set for another Budget built on long-term initiatives and sustainable economic growth.
He highlighted Malta’s success in attracting quality investment in innovative sectors such as digitalisation and sustainability, while traditional industries like tourism and financial services continue to expand. Foreign direct investment has doubled job creation in recent years, reinforcing Malta’s position as a competitive hub.
Dr Abela pledged that Government will continue to shield enterprises, support them through agencies like Malta Enterprise, and defend Malta’s unique interests at European level. He also stressed that economic growth will remain aligned with the Malta 2050 Vision, ensuring a sustainable and resilient future for the country.
Also present for the consultation were Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg, Ministers Silvio Schembri, Clint Camilleri, Byron Camilleri, Miriam Dalli, Clyde Caruana, Jonathan Attard, Chris Bonett, and the Head of Secretariat at the Office of the Prime Minister, Mark Mallia.
