Two days after our warning, the survey confirmed everything — Alex Borg is weak, divided, and untrusted.

Alex Borg
Last Saturday, this site declared that Alex Borg is the weakest Leader in the history of the Nationalist Party.
Not even twenty-four hours later, the MaltaToday survey confirmed exactly what we said.
According to this latest poll, while the Nationalist Party saw a small numerical improvement after Borg’s appointment, Robert Abela remains the most trusted leader with a 13-point lead over Borg. The difference between the parties is said to be around 8,400 votes, yet the trust gap between the leaders remains enormous.
And here lies the contradiction — how can the difference between parties be 8,400 votes, when the difference in trust between leaders is 13 points?
The truth is simple: Maltese people vote for leaders, not logos.
They did so under Mintoff, Fenech Adami, and Muscat — and they continue to do so today.

Robert Abela
Robert Abela has earned the nation’s trust through steady leadership, stability, and social progress. He has led Malta through difficult international and economic challenges, while keeping the country strong and secure.
Alex Borg, on the other hand, is still a rookie in political terms. In just a month as PN Leader, he has already shown how weak and indecisive he truly is.
He barely defeated Adrian Delia by a miserable 44 votes, making him the weakest-elected Nationalist Leader in history.
He struggled for days to form a Shadow Cabinet, facing resistance from his own MPs. He is unable to unite his party, let alone lead a nation.
So while MaltaToday tries to paint this survey as a “positive sign” for the PN, in reality it exposes Borg’s fragility.
The figures don’t lie — Robert Abela remains miles ahead in trust, competence, and leadership.
If nothing else, this survey confirms what we wrote two days ago:
👉 Alex Borg is, without question, the weakest Nationalist Party Leader in history.
