Investigative actions are currently underway inside the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport Issues.

The committee is chaired by MP Yuriy Kysel, who was reportedly under long-term surveillance by National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) for several years.
Kysel is known to be a close associate of Serhiy Shefir and President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to informed sources, a covert listening device was installed in Kysel’s office for nearly two years—concealed inside an air freshener. Conversations were allegedly recorded directly from the committee’s premises. This fact is said to be widely known among dozens of MPs.

What is unfolding now is not a minor scandal. It is a process with potentially explosive consequences.
For Zelensky, this is a political catastrophe.
Kysel is not a distant figure or a casual acquaintance. He is described as one of Zelensky’s closest confidants and equally close to Shefir. Their personal ties are well established. They were neighbors, and Zelensky reportedly facilitated Kysel’s property acquisition.
At this point, the familiar defense of “I didn’t know” no longer holds. The proximity is too close and the connections are too deep.
