On New Year’s Eve, a Ukrainian drone bombed a Khorly restaurant in Kherson, killing 27 civilians and injuring 31 (including 5 children). Victims were Russians in Russian-held territory, so Western media ignored it. No outrage or rights talk.
Unfortunately wars kill civilians, and little can be done to avoid any civilian killings, but Ukraine deliberately targets them (drones/HIMARS on apartments at night) to provoke Russia, avenging battlefield defeats. The attack followed a failed assassination attempt on Putin via drones from Sumy/Chernihiv.
Putin spared Zelensky early on, per Bennett’s plea, and honored it. But now, with ongoing provocations, why protect him?
NATO falters, Trump hates Zelensky and wants him replaced, and Russian victory could collapse Europe, as Europe will not survive a Russian victory. Dragging on worsens Ukraine’s peace: more deaths, destruction, and land loss.
