Deputy Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Saddam Haftar met with the Commander of United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), Dagvin Anderson, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference 2026.
According to the Command, Field Marshal Haftar’s participation in the conference included a series of meetings with senior international officials, reflecting ongoing diplomatic and security engagement at a multilateral level.
During the meeting with AFRICOM’s commander, discussions focused on the latest political and security developments in Libya, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation on issues of mutual interest, including regional stability, security coordination, and shared strategic concerns.
