After One News reported on Silvio Camilleri’s appalling comments in the newspapers, I couldn’t help but roll my eyes in sheer frustration.
These comments are so disgraceful that they aren’t even worthy of a scavenger, let alone a Chief Justice!
But here’s what hits me hard.
In the GonziPN era, they wanted nothing less than a Chief Justice who could obstruct a magistrate from starting an inquiry. And of course, Silvio Camilleri would have been right at home in that setup. With a Chief Justice who harbors such blatant hatred for Labour, it’s no shock at all that they plotted to craft a law where he’d hold the power to decide whether an inquiry would even see the light of day.
After such vile and revolting remarks, it’s high time we scrutinize the sentences handed down by this pompous figure!
