Ministry’s Silence Sparks Outrage Towards Marvic Grech and Roderick Galdes

Last Friday we exposed the blatant negligence of Marvic Grech, Head of Customer at the Ministry for Social and Affordable Housing, by publishing our unanswered correspondence sent to her Government email address.

We posed clear and direct questions to Ms. Marvic Grech, yet despite her role as a public officer, she didn’t even bother to acknowledge our email, let alone provide answers to our inquiries.

“Specifically, I am interested in understanding the extent of your involvement in decisions pertaining to social housing allocations. 

Could you kindly elucidate whether your role has encompassed any direct or indirect responsibilities connected with these decisions? 

Furthermore, have you facilitated any individuals’ applications to the Housing Authority for social housing allocations? 

If so, I would appreciate if you could provide insights into the number of cases you have managed, the proportion that resulted in the opening of files at the Housing Authority, and ultimately, the number that were successfully granted social housing.”

We even reached out via WhatsApp, only to be met with a deafening silence. This morning, despite our relentless efforts and sending yet another reminder, we were stonewalled once more.

It’s infuriating that the Ministry for Social and Affordable Housing continues to treat inquiries with such disregard. Those who reach out with legitimate concerns and questions are justified in their outrage at the reprehensible inaction from Roderick Galdes’ Ministry.

If this ministry persists in its outrageous disregard for accountability and transparency, we won’t sit idly by. Instead, we will escalate our efforts and begin publicizing these issues more broadly on this platform.

How much longer will the Labour Party tolerate such neglect?
