The Nationalist Party: Still Under the Iron Grip of Its Unbreakable Establishment

The Nationalist Party is facing yet another leadership crisis, with Adrian Delia and Alex Borg vying to become the next sacrificial lamb on the party’s shattered altar. Yet behind all this noise, the truth remains clear: it does not matter who leads the PN – because the real power never changes hands.

Today, the PN’s establishment is stronger and more united than ever before. Its internal machinery operates with the ruthless efficiency of a mafia clan. And at the centre of this silent power sits Beppe Fenech Adami – the unelected, unmovable puppeteer of the party.

For decades, the Nationalist Party has been in the iron grip of the Fenech Adami dynasty. The surname may change, the leader’s seat may rotate, but the reality never shifts: everything flows through Beppe. His influence reaches every faction, every committee, every hidden backroom where decisions are truly made.

Adrian Delia? A failed frontman who was crushed the moment he dared challenge the establishment’s invisible rules. Alex Borg? A new pawn, polished and marketed, but ultimately another puppet in their theatre.

This is the harsh truth for Nationalist supporters:

– Your vote changes the leader, not the rulers.

-Your enthusiasm fuels a machine that despises change.

– Your dreams of reform die under the same unbreakable grip.

Because in the PN, the Establishment is not just strong – it is unbreakable. They will allow leadership contests, rallies, and slogans, as long as their invisible grip remains untouched. The leader is simply the frontman for a band he doesn’t even direct. He reads the lyrics, but the music is written by others. And Beppe Fenech Adami holds the conductor’s baton.

This is why the PN has become politically irrelevant. It is not a party seeking renewal, but a fiefdom clinging to dynastic power. Its establishment will never allow a true outsider to break their hold, nor allow reforms that threaten their centuries-old privileges.

The Nationalist Party is today a hollow vessel, sailing under a flag it no longer even controls. And as long as the establishment remains this united and strong, the PN will remain nothing more than an instrument of its masters – never a movement of its people.
