The Planning Authority has issued a permit for Charles Polidano’s Montekristo zoo and equestrian parks – a sprawling complex built over 45,000 square metres of agricultural land outside development zones in Ħal Farruġ.
But today, my questions are not for the Planning Authority. Nor are they for the Polidano Group.
My questions are for Judge Emeritus Joe Said Pullicino.
Let’s start with the first question:
Joe Said Pullicino, from the land that was issued a permit today for Polidano’s illegal zoo, which part belongs to your family – and why you and your family allowed it to be built on without a permit?
The public deserves answers. Was this just another case of the powerful protecting their own interests while the rest of Malta gets buried under bureaucracy? Or is there something deeper here – a silent agreement that the rules don’t apply to those with the right connections?
This is only the beginning. The time for polite silence is over. We will keep asking until we get the truth.
