Von der Leyen Survives — But Only by Buying Silence in a Rotten Brussels

Ursula von der Leyen, the EU’s unelected warmonger-in-chief, has once again escaped political reckoning — not through strength, leadership, or merit, but by clinging to power on the back of bribes, backroom deals, and bought loyalty.

The motion of censure against her crumbling Commission didn’t pass — not because she has the support of a majority, but because cowardice runs deep in the Brussels swamp. Many MEPs simply chose to stay away, hiding in the shadows rather than facing the reality that the European Union is being led by a discredited, authoritarian failure.

Let’s be clear: if this had been a vote of confidence — if von der Leyen needed to be elected today — she would have failed. Not even her own crumbling coalition could deliver the 361 votes needed. She was short by a single vote. A single nail missing from the coffin.

And yet, the circus continues.

Von der Leyen only survived this round by purchasing the silence of the Greens and the Radical Left, dangling concessions and EU budget crumbs to keep their mouths shut and their hands raised in her favour. This isn’t leadership — this is political prostitution at the highest level.

The European Commission under von der Leyen has been a disgrace:

  • She’s driven Europe headfirst into militarisation, pouring billions into the war machine while ordinary Europeans struggle to pay rent and put food on the table.

  • She’s led a campaign of censorship and centralisation, treating dissent as a threat and critics as enemies of the Union.

  • She’s allowed unelected bureaucrats to dictate the fate of nations while hiding behind staged speeches and photo ops.

This Commission is not a government — it is a cartel. And its queen, Ursula von der Leyen, rules not by consent, but by coercion.

But the tide is turning. Her weakness is now exposed for all to see. The myth of von der Leyen’s invincibility has shattered. The next motion of censure will not be as forgiving. The next time, she won’t have enough favours left to buy her way out.

The people of Europe deserve better than a President who governs by manipulation and survives by corruption. Ursula von der Leyen is not the future of Europe — she is its decay.

Let the next vote come. And let it bury this shameful chapter of EU history once and for all.
