Acquisitiveness galore

Millions in state funds, private sponsorships, and film event profits — all flowing into the same hands, while Labour supporters watch from the sidelines

While Labour loyalists are left chasing shadows for basic support, PN-linked elites like Anton Attard and Mark Grech (il-Guru) are pocketing millions — not just from state-funded rebates, but also from private sponsorship deals and high-profile events that are tightly controlled by their same inner circle.

Let’s call it what it is:

A profit machine disguised as cultural development.

The Numbers That Say It All

Their company, Greatt Company Ltd, is already on track to receive more than €2.8 million in film rebates for shows like:

Big Brother Malta – €2.5 million in production claims

X Factor Malta – €1.3 million

MasterChef Malta – nearly €1 million

• Plus €300,000 already paid for The Voice Kids and Malta’s Got Talent

But it doesn’t stop there.

The same faces are also behind Malta’s biggest concerts, national music shows, and “international” film events — conveniently positioned to secure massive sponsorship deals from public and private entities, with no competition, no transparency, and no equal opportunity for others to enter.

Everyone involved in these events — from the production crew to the organisers — is earning millions, year after year.

And somehow, it’s always the same group of people at the centre of it all.

Labour’s Base Betrayed — Again

Meanwhile, professionals with real talent and track records are shut out of the system.

They don’t get the sponsorships.

They don’t get the prime-time slots.

They don’t get the rebate approvals.

They get ignored — or worse, used as props when needed.

What kind of message is the government sending?

That if you were once a PN official, the cultural sector is yours for life?

That Labour supporters are good enough to campaign — but not good enough to compete?

The frustration is real. And it’s justified.

The Same Ministry, The Same Hypocrisy

Let’s not forget:

The same Ministry that’s facilitating this flood of millions to Greatt Company Ltd is also the one that has neglected the Great Siege Monument for 7 years straight — allowing it to remain covered in filth, decay, and shame.

So while taxpayer money goes to Big Brother and concert rigs, our national heritage is left to rot.

That’s not policy. That’s an insult to the Maltese people.

This Is a Closed Club — And You’re Not Invited

Call it what it is: A cultural cartel.

A network of state-funded privilege, hidden behind logos, event banners, and red carpets.

All controlled by a PN elite who once ran PBS, Net TV, and national festivals — and who now enjoy Labour’s silence and protection.

This isn’t artistic success.

It’s monopoly disguised as merit.

And while they grow their empires, everyone else fights for scraps.

Labour voters did not elect this government to keep the PN’s golden circle fat and happy.

They elected it to break these cartels — not feed them.

Today, we see millions flowing to Attard and il-Guru.

Tomorrow? Expect more of the same — unless someone finally pulls the plug on this rigged system.

Because if this is what “cultural investment” means in Malta, then Labour has a much bigger problem than it realises.
