Mediterrane Madness: The Tender That Came After the Millions

Tender awarded after the event? Millions flow again — same names, same scam

Just when you thought the circus couldn’t get more rotten, this morning’s revelation by The Shift News confirms what we’ve been saying all along: the system is rigged, and the PN elite are still at the trough.

According to the report, the multi-million-euro tender for the Mediterrane Film Festival — a glitzy, taxpayer-funded spectacle — was officially awarded on 3 July, after the festival had already ended in June.

Let that sink in.

The tender was opened on 8 April — just two months before the event — and the contract was conveniently handed to Greatt Ltd, owned by Anton Attard and Mark Grech (il-Guru). The same company already soaking in millions from state-funded reality shows, sponsorship deals, and film rebates.

This Isn’t Procurement — It’s Post-Dated Favouritism

How can a tender be awarded after the event concludes?

What kind of sham process is this?

Who else gets the privilege of winning contracts after the job is done — except for the chosen few?

And let’s not forget: the estimated value of this “tender” sits at €3.2 million excluding VAT.

Another public-funded bonanza, awarded under the pretext of “best price-quality ratio” — a laughable excuse when the contract seems tailored for one company and one outcome.

Same Names. Same Faces. Same Money Trail.

Whether it’s Big Brother, X Factor, or Mediterrane Film Festival, the cast behind the scenes never changes.

Attard and Grech — former PN media bosses, now empire-builders under a Labour administration.

Millions in public funds.

Events dressed up as “cultural investment” to funnel money to the same clique.

Meanwhile, Labour supporters and genuine creatives are told there’s no budget.

This isn’t mismanagement.

This is systematic abuse.

Today, we see Attard and il-Guru handed a €3.2 million contract after the fact.

Tomorrow? More tenders. More shows. More millions.

Unless someone finally has the guts to pull the plug on this rigged cartel.
