When PN weaponises tragedy for political gain, it exposes its emptiness, its malice, and its desperation.

Partit Nazzjonalista
The Nationalist Party has once again revealed its true colours — a party so consumed by bitterness that it will exploit any situation, twist any narrative, and drag any name through the mud for a cheap headline.
Their latest target? Helena Dalli.
The PN has objected to Dalli’s temporary appointment as Acting President of the Republic, claiming that someone who a public inquiry linked to a so-called “climate of impunity” following the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia does not deserve such a role.
Let’s unpack the hypocrisy.
A Party That Never Took Responsibility Lectures Others About Accountability
This is the same Nationalist Party that:
Never took political responsibility for decades of corruption, scandals, and incompetence.
Protected insiders during its own years of shady dealings and backroom favours.
Stayed silent when real reforms were needed and preferred grandstanding over action.
And now it dares to preach about “accountability”?
Give us a break.
This is not about justice. This is about opportunism. The PN is using Daphne Caruana Galizia’s assassination as a political stick to beat anyone associated with Labour — even when the facts don’t support their outrage.

Daphne Caruana Galizia
Selective Memory, Convenient Outrage
If the PN were so concerned about Daphne’s legacy, where was this energy when she was alive — and being isolated, and attacked internally within the party?
Where was the PN’s voice when systemic problems were rooted in institutions that date back to their own years in power?
They cherry-pick one name, one phrase, one interpretation from a public inquiry — and use it as political ammo. But the public is no longer blind. They see through this act. They see the PN for what it is:
A party that can’t lead, can’t unite, and can’t accept that the people have moved on.
Helena Dalli Has Served This Country With Dignity
Helena Dalli is not just a Labour veteran. She is a former Minister, an EU Commissioner, and a woman who has served this country with integrity, diplomacy, and distinction — at both national and European levels.
The PN’s attack is not about principles. It’s about resentment.
Because they can’t stand that someone from Labour, especially a woman, holds international respect they will never achieve.
Enough of the Vultures
The assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia was a national tragedy. But what the Nationalist Party is doing today is a political obscenity.
They are not seeking justice. They are feeding off tragedy.
They are not defending institutions. They are sabotaging them.
They are not honouring her memory. They are cheapening it.
When You Can’t Build, You Try to Burn
The PN has no ideas, no strategy, and no vision — so it falls back on its only tactic: tearing others down.
But Helena Dalli doesn’t need their approval to serve this country with dignity.
And the Maltese people certainly don’t need a party that weaponises the dead to stay politically relevant.

Helena Dalli had played an important role unlike what the malicious PN are stating.
But who is the idiot to believe the Partit Negattiv?
