I am replying in English to the nonsense spewed by Dr. John Attard Montalto, because he chose to write in English. And let’s be clear: this site has always wished him good health – physical and mental. We are glad he is well, and we sincerely wish him continued good health. But that does not mean we will remain silent in the face of his hypocrisy, his false allegations, and his poisonous agenda against his former colleagues.
John Attard Montalto -The Defnisti’s Trojan Horse Inside the PN Establishment
In his latest post, Attard Montalto has descended into the gutter, comparing me to ISIS, claiming that I am under the thumb of some “controller”, and even inventing the absurd conspiracy that I am working for a “proxy” already prepared to take over the Labour Party leadership. This is the language of a desperate man – a man who has lost all political credibility and now finds solace in fabricating stories worthy of gossip magazines.
Let me be very clear: The words I write are mine, and mine alone. If Attard Montalto wants to find controllers, puppeteers and proxies, he should look in the mirror and at the company he keeps today – the Defnisti clique and the Nationalist establishment.
Selective Attacks and Hypocrisy
It is worth reminding everyone that Attard Montalto recently called for Prime Minister Robert Abela to remove Attorney General Victoria Buttigieg, branding her incompetent. But strangely – or rather tellingly – he never once demanded the resignation of Magistrate Gabriella Vella, whose magisterial inquiry was riddled with flaws and rightly described abroad as a “fishing expedition.”
Why this silence? Because Montalto, a moustachioed lawyer who knows exactly how the game is played, prefers to shield those who inflicted maximum damage on Joseph Muscat and the Labour movement. His agenda is not about justice, but about settling old scores.
Hatred of Joseph Muscat and Edward Scicluna
And let us not forget the roots of his hatred. Attard Montalto has despised Joseph Muscat and Professor Edward Scicluna for years – ever since they ran against him in the European Parliament elections. He never forgave them. In his mind, Muscat and Scicluna robbed him of what he believed was rightfully his.
History, however, tells a different story. The Labour Party moved forward, stronger than ever, while Attard Montalto was left behind, bitter and consumed by resentment. What happened on that day is etched in history: Joseph Muscat and Edward Scicluna rose to become central pillars of Labour’s success, while John Attard Montalto vanished into irrelevance.
A Spokesperson for the Defnisti
Now everything indicates that Attard Montalto has crowned himself the new spokesperson for the Defnisti and is working hand-in-hand with the Nationalist establishment. He pulls their strings, lends them credibility with his old Labour credentials, and pretends to speak as a “loyal” Labourite while his every word undermines the very party he once represented.
I respected him for years. But that respect has its limits. If he insists on betraying the Labour movement, siding with its enemies, and spewing venom against his former colleagues, then the time has come to expose him fully.
Dr. John Attard Montalto’s latest rant confirms what we already knew: his hypocrisy knows no bounds, his hatred of Joseph Muscat and Edward Scicluna consumes him, and his loyalty is no longer with Labour but with those who wish to see it weakened.
