At first glance, you might think Adrian Delia is announcing some groundbreaking idea, a fresh reform, or a historic step for the Nationalist Party. But scratch beneath the surface, cut away the theatrical tone and the pretentious delivery, and you’ll find there’s nothing there. Just recycled nonsense wrapped in hollow words.
On NET TV, Delia now claims that he will set up a “Convention” to change the statute. Really, Adrian? Did you forget that you already pulled off this stunt when you were party leader? Did you forget how you brought in Louis Galea—your supposed saviour—tasked him with rewriting the statute, and ended up creating a total disaster?
Let’s remind the Nationalist supporters:
• The current ridiculous system of choosing the leader—this farce of “expressions of interest” and carnival-style procedures—was created under Adrian Delia’s watch.
• The statute today is a chaotic mess, the result of Louis Galea’s handiwork, commissioned and defended by Adrian Delia himself.
• And who can forget that during Delia’s tenure he even floated the insane idea of changing the name of the Party, sparking infighting and humiliation?

And now, with a straight face, Adrian Delia comes back to the same loyal supporters he betrayed and pretends as if he has discovered some revolutionary plan. What “Convention to change the statute”? It’s the same cauldron you brewed last time, Adrian, the same recipe of confusion and ridicule that weakened the PN and demoralised its base.
The truth is simple: Adrian Delia is not respecting Nationalist supporters. He is insulting them. He assumes they have no memory, no dignity, no self-respect. He assumes they can be tricked again with empty words and recycled gimmicks.
Do not be fooled. When Delia talks about a new Convention, remember that under his leadership the statute was already tampered with—and the result was an unworkable, embarrassing mess that dragged the PN into deeper crisis.
Adrian Delia’s fable is nothing but a rerun of his own failures. And his hypocrisy lies not only in repeating the same promises but in daring to think Nationalist supporters are too blind or too stupid to remember his record.
