The Mortal Blow: How This Site Destroyed Adrian Delia

Alex Borg has just been elected as the fifth Nationalist Leader in twelve short years, defeating none other than Adrian Delia. This site extends its formal well-wishes to Borg on his appointment as Leader of the Nationalist Party and Leader of the Opposition.

But the real story here is Adrian Delia. Once again, he has etched his name into the history books for all the wrong reasons. Out of three leadership elections he contested since 2017, Delia has managed to lose twice. That alone speaks volumes: not of resilience, but of irrelevance.

When this campaign began, we made one thing crystal clear — this site would come out strongly against Adrian Delia. Not because we cared who won. Not because we had an interest in Alex Borg. But because Delia chose to kneel before the PN establishment and crawl into bed with the same extremists who once plotted against him.

This site has fought tooth and nail against that clique — the monument fanatics, the hypocrites, the so-called “civil society” voices led by Robert Aquilina (the man accused of domestic violence and the illegal arrest of his wife), his brother Carol, and Manuel “Mossad” Delia. Adrian Delia had a choice: to fight them, or to join them. He chose betrayal. And betrayal comes at a price.

Robert Aquilina: The Wife-Beater

Let us be blunt: we never cared whether Alex Borg won. What mattered was that Adrian Delia lost. Because a loss for Delia is a loss for the establishment. A loss for Delia is a loss for the extremists. And a loss for Delia is a victory for those who refuse to bow to the same poisonous clique that has destroyed the PN from within.

We wrote dozens of articles exposing Delia’s hypocrisy and his weakness. We could have published far more. But the truth is, Delia’s fate was sealed. Even as we predicted a Delia “win” during the campaign, the strategy was clear. We pushed the game, the Nationalist members bought into it, and the result is now here for all to see: Alex Borg elected, Delia humiliated.

History will record this site as the one that controlled the PN leadership election. The one that delivered the mortal blow to Adrian Delia. And today, with Borg’s victory, Delia is politically finished — irrelevant, silenced, done.

Let’s not forget: Delia once dared to take personal shots at me. He knows what I am referring to. He thought he could get away with it. He thought his words would not reach me. But they did. And on June 27th, when I confronted him, he sent his parrots to whisper that he had “put me in my place.”

Today, those parrots know very well who is really in his place — Delia or Gafà.

Because God forgives.

But Gafà does not forgive.

Delia has joined the long list of those who crossed us and lost: Lawrence Gonzi, Simon Busuttil, and now himself.

Good luck, Adrian. This is not your comeback. This is the beginning of the end of your political nightmare.
