In recent days we have learned that Magistrate Gabriella Vella, the same one who led the €11 million hospitals inquiry – the inquiry that collapsed with foreign “experts” who are now refusing to testify in Court – is now laying claim to a seat on the Bench as a Judge.
Many are celebrating this news. But this site will not allow the public to forget who Gabriella Vella really is, and how she led an inquiry designed not for justice, but for vendetta.

The Dirty Game Behind the Inquiry
The hospitals inquiry was triggered in 2019 on Repubblika’s request. Joseph Muscat was never mentioned. Yet, when articles about a post-Prime Minister consultancy appeared in November 2021, Repubblika shifted gears.
Instead of writing to the Magistrate as procedure dictated, Repubblika wrote to the Police Commissioner. And why? Because if they had gone to the Magistrate, Gabriella Vella would have had to pass the matter to another Magistrate – giving Joseph Muscat the basic right to defend himself.
But by going to the Commissioner, Repubblika exploited a loophole. They knew full well that Gabriella Vella had already ordered the Commissioner to follow only her directions. This meant no other Magistrate could touch the case. It meant Joseph Muscat was denied the right of natural justice.
Vella’s Orchestrated Silence
And what did Gabriella Vella do? She took everything in her own hands. She refused to hear Joseph Muscat. She ordered a search of his home and family. Robert Aquilina – the same Robert Aquilina recently accused of domestic violence and illegal arrest of his wife – stood watching happily outside Dr. Muscat’s recidence.

After presiding over an inquiry riddled with leaks, with inflated payments to foreign “experts” like Jeremy Harbinson who now refuses to testify, Gabriella Vella is now seeking to climb higher – to the role of Judge.
