On Sunday, Saviour Balzan’s MaltaToday published its latest political survey.
But this time, there’s an interesting twist: the same survey was commissioned and managed by none other than Simon Mizzi — Alex Borg’s right-hand man and campaign strategist.

Simon Mizzi
And yet, even in a survey handled by his own team, Alex Borg remains 13 points behind Prime Minister Robert Abela — the equivalent of around 40,000 votes.
Let that sink in.
In his own tailor-made survey, Alex Borg still loses badly.
This exposes the uncomfortable truth that Borg’s political fragility is not an illusion — it’s measurable, visible, and undeniable.
He cannot inspire confidence beyond his narrow bubble of party loyalists.
While Robert Abela continues to lead with authority and calm determination, Borg’s numbers show stagnation and weakness.

Alex Borg
The PN leader has changed — but the distance from Robert Abela has not moved an inch.
After all the hype, slogans, and media stunts, Alex Borg remains just as ineffective as his predecessors.
The only thing that changed is the face — not the failure.
So when MaltaToday and its mercenary handlers try to paint this as a “positive sign” for the PN, remember:
Even in a survey managed by his own strategist, Alex Borg is 40,000 votes below Robert Abela.
That’s not progress — that’s humiliation.
