Twelve Years Later — The People Still Choose Labour

Robert Abela’s calm leadership continues to deliver work, stability, and peace of mind for every family.

A new survey published by The Times of Malta has once again confirmed what every other national poll has consistently shown: the Labour Party remains the most trusted political force in the country.

This is not a coincidence — it is the result of consistent leadership, economic resilience, and social responsibility.

After three legislatures, Malta finds itself in an unprecedented situation — the same party that took power in 2013 continues to enjoy strong and stable support, twelve years later. This is unique in our modern history. No government before has managed to maintain the people’s confidence for such a long and transformative period.

Twelve Years of Progress — and the People Still Believe

Why does Labour continue to command this trust?

Because under Prime Minister Robert Abela, Malta has remained a country that offers opportunity, peace of mind, and progress.

Families have work and stability.

Businesses find a government that listens and acts.

Youths see a country investing in their future.

Pensioners feel respected and protected.

Robert Abela has proven himself as a leader of calm strength and vision — capable of steering the nation through global challenges, from economic turbulence to social change, without ever losing focus on the needs of ordinary people.

While others choose division, the Labour Government continues to build — in education, health, energy, and infrastructure — delivering tangible improvements in people’s lives.

Surveys are not just numbers. They reflect a deep sense of trust. Trust that Labour will keep the country united. Trust that Labour will keep the economy strong. Trust that Robert Abela will continue to safeguard Malta’s future.

Twelve years later, the message from the people remains the same:

👉 Keep Malta moving forward with Labour.

    The title says it all.

The people choose Labour and not Bobby. Bobby is Gonzi’s “godson”.

If these candidates will show in my ballot paper I shall not waste time and pencil next to their names.
    Robert Abela
    Alison Civelli
    Byron Camilleri
    Chris Bonett

Don’t vote for the “puppaturi”, incompetent and lazy politicians

While the write-up paints a picture of unwavering trust in Prime Minister Robert Abela’s leadership, recent developments suggest a more nuanced reality. The latest surveys, including those published by MaltaToday and Times of Malta, reveal a narrowing gap between the Labour Party and the Opposition, with some polls showing Labour’s lead shrinking to just 5%. This shift is not insignificant — it reflects growing public concern over governance, transparency, and the direction of national priorities.

The claim that Labour still enjoys “strong and stable support” twelve years on overlooks growing frustration among voters. Frequent U-turns by the Prime Minister, controversial environmental and planning reforms, the Jean Paul Sofia case, and other contentious issues have shaped the public’s attitude towards the Labour Movement.

Prime Minister Abela’s leadership style, often described as calm, has sometimes been perceived as detached from Malta’s urgent challenges. The PM is panicking and under immense pressure.

Trust is earned not by repeating hollow slogans, but through actions that demonstrate integrity, inclusiveness, and foresight.

”Trust is earned not by repeating hollow slogans, but through actions that demonstrate integrity, inclusivness, and foresight”. That is exactly why after 12 years at the helm the PL is still mastering a majority.

You talk of a majority that is diminishing, I am talking about a majority that is still there after 12 years.

Still, who will answer for the astronomical drop in popularity? The keader? The Cabinet? The parliamentary group???The Party executive? The CEO? Who should answer for this??? If the Party in Government is doing so well, then what went wrong with its dwindling popularity?

Donnu li int wieħed li ma temminx fit-trasparenza u kontabilita’! Min ser jerfa’ responsabilita’? Il-ħajbu? Qed taħrab id-domanda. Jekk l-affarijiet sejrin tant tajjeb, kif qed jingħad, allura għalfejn il-PL qed jitlef l-appoġġ b’rata mgħaġġla?? Li nies bħalek jippruvaw jagħtu l-impressjoni li kollox sew, ir-rejalta’ qed turi mod ieħor. Taħrabx mir-rejalta. Min ser jirrispondi??? Nixtieq li xi ħadd jirrispondi!

Hu paċenzja, jien dejjem ivvutajt Labour pero’ mhux bi ħsiebni li nkompli nagħti l-appoġġ tiegħi lil dan il-Partit li jidher ċar tilef ruħu!! Jidher li ma tridx tammetti li l-appoġġ niżel minħabba l-attitudni ta’ ċertu nies, inkompetenza grassa ta’ uħud u arroganzja spjetata xi membri tal-kabinett!!! Minn qalbi nawguralek li tibqa’ tkun kuntent anke meta jidher ċar li l-marida dieħla sew il-ġewwa!!!!!
