It’s becoming increasingly clear that the Nationalist Party in opposition — has been playing the legal system like a puppet show.
From courtrooms to media channels, they’ve thrown out accusations of corruption on the Hospitals’s concession without backing them up with any solid evidence.

PN’s infamous 2018 tirades against the Labour Government
Now, the ICC London Arbitration proceedings and yesterday’s ruling has torn down their house of cards, but the damage is done.
For years, the PN perpetuated a narrative of a €400 million theft in the Hospitals’ concession. They planted the seed of doubt in the public mind, relying on half-baked opinions to push their claims. They knew the public would get caught up in the headlines and ignore the fine print.

The real problem? The court system in Malta, rather than acting as an impartial authority, seemed to have been caught up in the political drama, giving too much weight to sensational claims instead of focusing solely on the facts.
The ICC in London, on the other hand, proved that fairness and the rule of law wasn’t served by exaggeration and political spin — it was served by clear-headed legal analysis, based on facts and evidence.
