€6,000 Stolen From Gozo Court – The Theft Alex Borg Doesn’t Want to Talk About

Two full days have passed since the scandal broke: €6,000 stolen from the Gozo Courts of Justice.

A theft inside the very institution meant to safeguard justice.

And yet, total silence.

No reaction from the Nationalist Party.

No reaction from PN Leader Alex Borg.

No reaction from Shadow Minister for Justice Joe Giglio.

No reaction from the media who normally foam at the mouth at anything that can be twisted against the Labour Government.

The Hypocrisy Is Stunning

If this scandal had erupted in the Courts of Malta or if even a paperclip went missing under a Labour administration, I’m sure the PN would declare it a national meltdown.

We’ve seen it countless times:

  • Missing documents? PN hysteria.

  • Misplaced equipment? Nationwide outrage.

  • A rumour? Instant press conferences and moral sermons.

But now, with €6,000 stolen IN THE GOZO COURT, the PN’s reaction is:

OMERTÀ.

Alex Borg suddenly mute.

Joe Giglio suddenly invisible.

All the usual moral preachers suddenly praying for silence.

Labour’s Weakness: Another Failure

But let’s be clear:

Labour also failed to show backbone.

Not a single Labour official called out the PN’s hypocrisy.

Not a single Labour spokesperson demanded accountability.

Not even One News dared confront Alex Borg about the theft. They quoted the Opposition Leader about useless, irrelevant nonsense instead.

This is not strategy. This is walk over.

Jonathan Attard

Meanwhile, Jonathan Attard Acts — Decisively

And in the middle of all this silence, one person did his duty: Justice Minister Jonathan Attard.

On Saturday evening, while others hid, Minister Attard acted. He swiftly appointed an Administrative Board to review the custody procedures for exhibits in the Gozo Court. This is a crucial step to ensure transparency and accountability.

A Magisterial Inquiry was also launched immediately.

This is what leadership looks like: Swift action. Zero hesitation. Zero political games.

While Alex Borg and Joe Giglio disappeared, and while Labour’s communications machine slept, Jonathan Attard moved without excuses and without fear.

We Will Not Let This Story Die

This portal will continue to insist that the public gets the full truth.

The people deserve to know:

  • How did €6,000 disappear from the Gozo Courts?

  • Who is responsible?

  • Why did the Nationalist Party refuse to speak?

  • Why didn’t Labour apply political pressure?

  • Why did everyone, except the Justice Minister, hide?
