Two Weights, Two Measures: The PN Shields Joe Giglio Again

Joe Giglio’s Latest Scandal Exposes the Rotten Hypocrisy of the Nationalist Party

Joe Giglio

On Friday, Joe Giglio, PN’s so-called Shadow Minister for Justice, stood in court defending two men charged with fraud, embezzlement, and money laundering.

A lawyer defending alleged financial criminals while pretending to be Malta’s “guardian of justice.”

A conflict of interest so big it’s insulting, and Alex Borg remains silent.

Let’s not forget who Anthony Farrugia and Patrick Demanuele are. These aren’t random names. They were business associates of Yorgen Fenech, the same Yorgen Fenech the Nationalist Party spent years demonising.

For years, the PN acted as judge, jury, and executioner against Fenech, turning him into a political piñata, a daily headline, a propaganda tool. They built an entire moral crusade around attacking anything and anyone connected to him.

But now after all that fake righteousness, the PN’s own Shadow Minister for Justice personally conducts the cross-examination on behalf of Fenech’s business partners.

The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

The PN spent years screaming about Yorgen Fenech, but the moment courtroom glamour and professional interests come into play, Giglio happily defends the very people his Party demonised.

Rakhat Aliyev

Giglio’s Past Is a Minefield — And the PN Pretends It Doesn’t Exist

Joe Giglio has already been linked to a network of companies and transactions involving Rakhat Aliyev, a man implicated in the murder of two people, and Elnara Shorazova.

Yet Alex Borg handpicked him as the “ethical” spokesperson for justice.

Karol Aquilina

If This Were Karol Aquilina…

If Karol Aquilina,  back when he held the justice portfolio, had accepted a case like this, Alex Borg would have fired him on the spot.

But Joe Giglio? The PN protects him like royalty. No statements. No outrage. No internal action. Two weights, two measures — the PN’s trademark.

A Shadow Minister for Controversies, Not Justice

Joe Giglio is no longer the Shadow Minister for Justice. He has become the Shadow Minister for Controversies, a lawyer knee-deep in scandals, conflicts, and questionable associations.

And yet, he is shielded by Alex Borg and protected by the mainstream media.

The PN’s moral posturing has collapsed. Their hypocrisy is exposed, and no amount of spin can hide it.
