Meetings of the Libyan intelligence chief with his foreign counterparts

The meetings conducted by the head of the Libyan Intelligence Service, Hussein Al-Ayeb, with various heads of Arab and foreign intelligence services over the past months have been instrumental in fostering cooperation and information exchange.

These dialogues have primarily focused on combating terrorism, money laundering, and addressing the risks posed by organized crime and illegal immigration globally.

Sources within the Libyan Intelligence Service have disclosed that discussions with key figures such as Tasos Tsionis of the Cypriot Central Intelligence Service, Gabriel Vlasi of the Romanian Foreign Intelligence Service, and Joseph Bugeja of the Maltese Security Service have been fruitful.

Additionally, engagements with Ibrahim Kalin of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization, Bruno Kahl of the German Federal Intelligence Service, Giovanni Caravelli of the Italian External Intelligence and Security Agency, and Abdullah Muhammad Ali of the Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency have further enriched the dialogue.

These interactions have not only aimed at enhancing joint cooperation and information sharing but have also focused on strategizing against terrorism, money laundering, and other threats.

The Libyan Intelligence Service has also sought to leverage expertise in technology and training to bolster its capabilities in countering espionage and sabotage activities aimed at the nation.
