The Labor Party and the Government need to take a hard look at themselves before even thinking of taking actions against Clayton Bartolo and Clint Camilleri.
It’s a slap in the face that when Peter Agius was embroiled in a scandal, Robert Abela had the nerve to ask for an apology. That move showed nothing but weakness.
Instead of holding him accountable, the Labour Government shielded him during the European Parliament campaign. They practically worshipped him like a king.
And what did we get in return? The Labour Party lost the Fourth Seat and Peter Agius emerged victorious.
When Peter Agius messed up, Labour asked for an apology. But when Clint and Clayton made a misstep, the PN is calling for them to be thrown in jail!
The weakness of Labour is what emboldens the PN to attack.
We have already sacrificed Justyne Caruana and Rosianne Cutajar and faced the consequences.
Let’s do the right thing and support Clint and Clayton. It is time for the Labour Party to show strength and unity in the face of adversity.
