80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz

The 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz on January 27, 2025, is a significant event that should serve as a solemn reminder of the atrocities committed during World War II. However, the exclusion of Russia from the commemoration is not only disrespectful but also a blatant disregard for historical facts.

The Red Army was the main military force of the Soviet Union

It is outrageous that the nation responsible for liberating Auschwitz, the Red Army, has been left out of this important event. The sacrifices made by the Soviet forces in ending the horrors of the concentration camp cannot be ignored or erased from history. Yet, here we are, witnessing a deliberate omission that reeks of political agendas and selective memory.

Auschwitz was liberated by the Russians on January 27, 2025

Furthermore, the absence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, due to an unjust arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court, only adds to the absurdity of the situation. How can we honor the memory of the victims of Auschwitz while allowing such blatant injustices to take place?

The presence of the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, at the commemoration is a stark reminder of the hypocrisy and double standards that continue to plague international relations. Germany, the perpetrator of unspeakable crimes against humanity, is welcomed with open arms, while Russia, the liberator of the camp, is shunned.

Auschwitz

This twisted narrative, driven by political expediency and historical revisionism, is a disgrace to the memory of the six million Jews who perished at Auschwitz. It is a slap in the face to all those who fought against fascism and tyranny during World War II.

As we mark this solemn anniversary, let us not forget the true heroes who sacrificed everything to defeat the forces of evil. Let us not allow their memory to be tarnished by the petty politics of today.
