Israel has conceded and agreed to a ceasefire deal with Hamas, which many view as a significant concession.
For every Israeli hostage released, 30 Palestinian prisoners will be freed. Additionally, 50 Palestinian prisoners will be released for each female Israeli hostage. Israel plans to ultimately withdraw completely from Gaza.
In a related development, Prime Minister Netanyahu has accused Hamas of not adhering to the ceasefire agreement. Despite this accusation, Netanyahu is currently withholding approval of the deal, while Hamas has reiterated its commitment to honoring the agreement.
