Political Intrigue in Gozo: Unmasking the Allegiances of Thomas Bajada and the Mizzi Dynasty

Thomas Bajada, embroiled in obligations towards Edward Mizzi, is at the center of a political storm.

Edward Mizzi, notorious for his theatrics on Strada Rjali with nothing more than empty pizza boxes, left Labour supporters demoralized and disheartened. If Bajada is tangled in these obligations, he must shoulder them personally, ensuring the Labour Government isn’t let down by his actions.

This ongoing saga of manipulation in Gozo has been simmering since last year, resulting in a hemorrhaging of votes for the Labour Party on the island.

The plot thickens with Eucharist Mizzi, Edward’s father, who boasts a close association with Matthew Zerafa, the CEO of the Housing Authority. While we reserve more in-depth scrutiny for Zerafa in future exposés, what truly stands out is how Euchar Mizzi has cunningly entrenched himself in the heart of the Labour Government. A feat of manipulation that deserves a scandalous spotlight.

For decades, the Mizzi family has wielded power in Gozo, deeply rooted in the Nationalist Party’s operations. Particularly noteworthy is Euchar’s unwavering support for Dr. Frank Anthony Tabone, a candidate whose political journey raises eyebrows.

Frank Tabone

Remember Frank Tabone? Once a force in the Police Department, he had the audacity to raid Joseph Muscat’s house, subsequently abandoning the force and diving headfirst into politics as a Nationalist Party candidate in Gozo. Promised a ministry in the event of a Nationalist victory, Tabone’s allegiance is fiercely backed by Euchar Mizzi, the de facto power broker in Gozo.

Yet, in a twist of intrigue, Edward Mizzi’s trustworthiness extends to Thomas Bajada’s inner circle, being part of his campaign last year for the European Parliament elections. This confluence of political maneuvering and underhand tactics paints a scandalous picture of Thomas Bajada’s alliances and his failure to shield the Labour Government from these entanglements.

Eucharist Mizzi

A toast to Euchar Mizzi, the political mastermind, as his subtle machinations within the Labour Party earn him accolades from the Nationalist camp he remains so staunchly loyal to. The drama unfolds, and the scandal deepens, with each revelation more startling than the last.

Dear Mr Gafa, it is unproductive to place the blame solely on Thomas Bajada or Euchar Mizzi. The significant loss of votes stems from the arrogance of certain ministers, their repeated missteps, and their lack of competence. A closer examination of the most recent Local Council Elections reveals a clear pattern—Labour Party candidates, particularly those associated with specific ministers, performed poorly or failed to secure election. The Labour Party is suffering immensely due to their approach and actions. The responsibility lies with them and with them ONLY .
