Delia Knows He Can’t Beat Alex Borg — So Why Did He Break the Pact?
Adrian Delia is not stupid. He knows exactly what the numbers say.
He knows that among the PN delegates, Alex Borg is more popular, more energetic, and more electable than he is.
So why, then, did Delia rush to announce his candidacy?
Why did he preempt the supposed pact and throw the party into fresh chaos?
The answer may be panic — or worse, a calculated attempt to force Borg out before the race even begins. But the plan backfired. Spectacularly.
Delia’s clique is now leaking claims of a betrayal by Borg. But anyone with a memory longer than a goldfish can see through it. It was Delia who went public first, breaking the informal agreement that if one ran, the other would stay out.
Now we ask again — and louder:
Who Betrayed Whom?
Was it Delia who double-crossed Borg by jumping the gun with his bid?
Or was it Borg who blindsided Delia and shattered the trust?
What’s certain is this: Adrian Delia is now facing a leadership contest he knows he cannot win.
And this is not just about a race — it’s about the collapse of whatever credibility Delia had left.
The PN is being dragged into a bitter internal war, and the blame lies squarely with those who cannot let go of past delusions.
Let the delegates decide — but make no mistake: this isn’t a comeback. It’s a political suicide mission.

Maybe someone else will take advantage of the situation, Delia/Borg and throw their hat in the ring, too. We’ll wait and see if this drama continues in the coming days.
The way I see it , whoever , not just Alex or Delia but to a certain point even Metsola to lead the party for a period of two years with problems of millions debts , put a shattered house in order , and try to unite fragmented pieces IT’S A POLITICAL SUICIDE , WHEN KNOWING THAT THE REAL LEADERSHIP IS NOT AT TAL-PIETA , at this point one has to be mental to go for this adventure …. GOOD LUCK TO WHO EVER END UP ON THAT HOT OR BETTER STILL BURNING SEAT .
