Malta’s justice system has once again been humiliated on the international stage, and this time, the shame falls squarely on the magisterial inquiry into the Vitals hospitals scandal. Despite the inquiry now being concluded, its legacy is one of incompetence, political maneuvering, and international embarrassment.

To vilify former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, former Health Minister Konrad Mizzi, and senior Government officials?

The inquiry’s failure to provide basic details and its inability to make a coherent legal request are proof of its hollow nature.
