Today marks the end of yet another pathetic chapter for the Nationalist Party, as its members are forced to choose a new leader from two failed contenders – Alex Borg and Adrian Delia. This after Bernard Grech threw in the towel on 10th June, nearly five wasted years after he was handed the reins.
Let’s be clear: this is not a new beginning. This is the continuation of the same circus that has humiliated the PN for over a decade. In just 12 years, they will have gone through five leaders – a record that screams chaos, division, and utter failure.
No matter who wins today, the outcome is the same: the PN is doomed. Whether it’s Delia dragging them back into the swamp of scandals, or Borg being devoured alive by the establishment he pretends to resist, the party is heading full speed towards another humiliating defeat in the next general election.
The truth is brutal – the Nationalist Party is not electing a saviour today. They are simply crowning the captain of a sinking ship.
