Alex Borg’s “Justice Spokesperson” May Soon Need a Lawyer Himself

Joe Giglio
The story is now public — and it’s ugly.
Joe Giglio, the self-styled legal expert and Alex Borg’s appointed spokesperson for Justice, could soon find himself on the receiving end of a lawsuit.
Why? Because he allegedly gave catastrophically bad legal advice to his client, Daniel Meli, advice that nearly sent the young man to rot in an American jail.
Two different Judges — yes, two — have now ruled that Meli should not be extradited to the United States. Yet at the time, Meli had agreed to go after being told by his then-lawyer, Joe Giglio, that this was the “best course of action.”
Had Meli followed Giglio blindly, he’d be in an orange jumpsuit by now.
So much for “justice,” Dr. Giglio.
The Justice Spokesperson Who May Face Justice Himself
Bernard Grech always knew what kind of risk Joe Giglio was — that’s why he never trusted him with the Justice or Home Affairs portfolio.
But along came Alex Borg, young, naïve, and desperate to look “serious.”
And what did he do?
He handed the Justice portfolio to the one man who could turn a courtroom mistake into a political scandal.
Now that decision is exploding in his face.
Alex Borg’s “star team” is slowly becoming a circus — and Joe Giglio is the clown leading it.

The Meli Family’s Fury
Sources close to the Meli family say they are furious.
Furious that Joe Giglio’s advice could have cost Daniel his life.
Furious that they were misled.
And furious that this same lawyer still walks around Parliament talking about “ethics” and “rule of law.”
To make things even messier, Karol Aquilina, another PN lawyer with a personal grudge against Giglio, has been siding with the Meli family.
It’s no secret — Aquilina and Giglio despise each other.
Now their personal feud is spilling into court corridors and Opposition meetings alike.
The Nationalist Party looks less like a government-in-waiting and more like a legal soap opera.

Because of Joe Giglio, a Man Lost His Freedom
Let’s not forget the most serious part of this story:
Because of Joe Giglio’s bad advice, Daniel Meli spent time in prison.
Not because he was guilty — but because his lawyer pushed him into a legal trap.
Two Judges have since confirmed that Meli should never have been extradited.
Which means that Giglio’s counsel wasn’t just “wrong.” It was devastating.
And this is the man Alex Borg calls his “Justice Spokesperson.”
Alex Borg’s Biggest Mistake Yet
Every leader is judged by the people he surrounds himself with.
In Alex Borg’s case, he surrounded himself with Joe Giglio — and that may be his biggest mistake yet.
Even Bernard Grech — yes, Bernard Grech — had the foresight to avoid putting Giglio in charge of Justice or Home Affairs. He knew what was coming.

Bernard Grech
Alex Borg didn’t.
And now, the Opposition’s Justice Spokesperson may soon be defending himself in court, while the man he misled is finally free.
Conclusion: The Lawyer Who Preached Justice, Then Denied It
Joe Giglio loves to lecture about “justice,” “ethics,” and “integrity.”
But this time, the mask has slipped.
A man lost his freedom because of his arrogance and incompetence.
A family is preparing to take him to court.

Alex Borg
And the Nationalist Party — led by the politically immature Alex Borg — is once again in crisis.
Because when it comes to Joe Giglio, one thing is certain:
He can talk about justice — but he sure doesn’t deliver it.

Joe is a “puppatur” like many other lawyers who at the end think of their clients in Euros and not about JUSTICE
Fortunately Neville had the courage to bring forward this story..
Let people not forget about aspiring incompetent MPs in governing positions
